How Deep Is Your Love (Cover Version of Bee Gees)

How Deep Is Your Love ...

So many months absent singing any of the song from Musical Talented Group Bee Gees.  This is the song tribute to Maurice Gibbs, Robin Gibbs, Andy Gibbs and also Barry Gibbs.  These talented brothers are gifted talents from previous lives and I am proud of them bring us those beautiful melodies and music to our lives.

"How Deep Is Your Love" is a pop ballad written and recorded by the Bee Gees in 1977 and released as a single in September. It was ultimately used as part of the soundtrack to the film Saturday Night Fever. It was a number three hit in the United Kingdom and Australia. In the United States, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 on 24 December 1977 (becoming the first of six consecutive US number-one hits) and stayed in the Top 10 for a then-record 17 weeks. The single spent six weeks atop the US adult contemporary chart. It is listed at number 22 on the 55th anniversary edition of Billboard's All Time Top 100.[1] Alongside "Stayin' Alive" and "Night Fever", it is one of the group's three tracks on the list. The song was covered by Take That for their 1996 Greatest Hits album, reaching number-one on the UK Singles Chart for three weeks.[2]

"How Deep Is Your Love" ranked number 375 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. In a British TV special shown in December 2011, it was voted "The Nation's Favourite Bee Gees Song" by ITV viewers.[3] The song set a record by accumulating 33 weeks in one chart run. It was originally intended for Yvonne Elliman, but she later recorded "If I Can't Have You" instead.[4]

During the Bee Gees' 2001 Billboard magazine interview, Barry reportedly said that "How Deep Is Your Love" was his favorite Bee Gees song.[5]
Besides being used in Saturday Night Fever, the song has also been featured in other films such as Donnie Brasco, Ready to Rumble, Forever Fever, Tongan Ninja, Anger Management, Adam's Apples, Disco, and Sex and the City. It's also used in television shows such as Get a Life, Ballykissangel, Marienhof, You Are The One, Two Faces, Nip/Truck, The Simpsons, and Parenthood.

Ah

I know your eyes in the morning sun
I feel you touch me in the pouring rain
And the moment that you wander far from me
I want to feel you in my arms again

And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love, then you softly leave
And it's me you need to show

How deep is your love?
How deep is your love? How deep is your love?
I really need to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest, darkest hour
You're my savior when I fall

And you may not think I care for you
When you know down inside that I really do
And it's me you need to show

How deep is your love?
How deep is your love? How deep is your love?
I really need to learn
'Cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

Da da da da da
Da da da da da da da da da
Da da da da da da da da da

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The song is composed primarily in a minor key with a strong orchestral presence. Brothers Barry and Robin Gibb who also wrote the song share lead vocals. The song was recorded during the same session as "To Love Somebody" around April 1967.[2]
The song's flipside was "Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You" in the US, Canada and Australia but "Red Chair, Fade Away" was used in other territories.[3] The song's music video, consisted of footage of the band enjoying traveling a city bus in Paris.[4] Their footage visiting Paris is also used as the music video for "Words".[5] Another promotional film, filmed in black and white, featured the group performing the song.[6]

The song remained a concert favourite for over 30 years, and Maurice Gibb often provided the audience with comedic antics by attempting many failed attempts to join Barry and Robin while singing this song. Evidence of this can be seen in a 1989 "One for all Tour" concert video where Maurice takes a camera from a film cameraman standing nearby and films Barry and Robin as they sing the song.

Song Lyrics

Ooh you're a holiday , such a holiday
Ooh you're a holiday , such a holiday

It's something I thinks worthwhile
If the puppet makes you smile
If not then you're throwing stones
Throwing stones, throwing stones

Ooh it's a funny game
Don't believe that it's all the same
Can't think what I've just said
Put the soft pillow on my head

Millions of eyes can see
Yet why am I so blind
When the someone else is me
It's unkind, it's unkind

De de de de de de de de de de de de de
De de de de de de de de de de de de de

Yet millions of eyes can see
Yet why am I so blind
When the someone else is me

It's something I thinks worthwhile
If the puppet makes you smile
If not then you're throwing stones
Throwing stones , throwing stones

My World (Cover Version of Bee Gees)

My World ...

An old song had been abandoned long ago and it is coming back to my life again.  Bee Gees songs usually closed to my heart and many of my singing foundation came from this musical group especially using falsetto voices.

"My World" is a 1972 single released by the Bee Gees. It was originally released as a non-album single on 14 January 1972 worldwide.[1] but it was later included on the LP Best of Bee Gees, Volume 2 in 1973. The flip of the single entitled "On Time" is a rock number that was a Maurice Gibb composition. "My World" reached the Top 20 in both US and UK.[2]

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"My World" was written in the backstage of ITV's The Golden Shot with some same musical ideas as "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart". Maurice said "Whether something is a soft ballad or an uptempo thing, we would record it if we thought it was going to make a good single".[3] By October 13, the band recorded "My World" along with unreleased tracks, "What Could Have Been Done" and "Goodbye Blue Sky"[4] the song has four verses as they repeated the chorus numerous times. This track kicks off with an unusually casual instrumental intro like their other unreleased track, "God's Good Grace". Barry Gibb explains "My World": "it's not from the album, followed along some of the same musical ideas as 'How Can You Mend a Broken Heart'".[3] As Robin Gibb states in the liner notes of Tales from the Brothers Gibb, "One rollicking little jaunt that me and the lads came up with in downtown Birmingham, England, whilst doing a television show called Golden Shot, the ensuing results being that it went on to be a huge top 20 hit in the UK and the US that left the three of us 'drooling' with pleasure."[3]

The song has a fantastic play of words in the refrain part: "My world is our world, and this world is your world, and your world is my world, and my world is your world is mine". It was the last single released by the band with Geoff Bridgford as well as the single cover as he left in March that year.

Song Lyrics

Don't shed a tear for me
No, it's not your style
If you're not here by me
Then it's not worth while

My world is our world
And this world is your world
And your world is my world
And my world is your world is mine

I've been crying
I'm lonely
What do I do to have you stay
I've needed you
To cry on
I've written to you nearly ev'ry day

My world is our world
And this world is your world
And your world is my world
And my world is your world is mine

Don't shed a tear for me
That's not your style
If you're not here by me
Then it's not worth while

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"One" is the second international single (and lead single in the U.S.) from the Bee Gees' album, One. This was the song that returned the Bee Gees to American radio and would turn out to be their biggest US hit in the 1980s, and their last hit single to reach the US top ten. It peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in September 1989, and it stayed in the Top 40 for ten weeks. It also topped the American adult contemporary chart that same month, remaining at number one for two weeks.[1]

The track reached No. 71 in the UK Singles Chart.[2]

I feel my heartbeat,
When you run your fingers through my hair, oh yeah
I can tell you,
I can feel you by my side when you're not there, oh yeah
Just as my life fades to darkness
You you make me see the light.
Show me that my search is over
I pay the price, I pay the price.

Tell you someday, baby you and I should be one, one.
Do it always, brighter than the eye can see, we hide the sun.

The taste of love is sweet, like honey on the vine,
Like the wind that feeds the fire, two souls become entwined.
Someday baby you and I should be one, one.

So I'm standing 'round this corner
Tall enough to touch the New York sky, oh yeah
My love is so blind
I just cannot hear or see the world go by, oh yeah
Someone can love so completely
One kiss should break the seal.
Truth can be stranger than fiction
This love is real
This love is real.

Tell you someday Baby, you and I should be one, one.
Do it always, brighter than the eye can see, we hide the sun.

Ah we are one, we are one.

I will follow
Count on me, I'll never let you down, oh yeah
My devotion
If love is an ocean I'll surely drown, oh yeah
You'll be my only possession
I'll be a slave to you
We hold the power together
Just me and you
Just me and you.

Tell you someday Baby, you and I should be one, one.
Do it always, brighter than the eye can see, we hide the sun.
Tell you someday Baby, you and I should be one, one.

"You know my life is in your hands,
And every breath you take is planned
And all this love goes on forever."

Tell you someday Baby, you and I should be one, one.
Do it someday Baby, you and I should be one, one.
Do it someday Baby, you and I should be one, one....
