My World Il Mondo (Cover Version of Engelbert Humperdinck)

My World Il Mondo...

This old song was my first attempt even I wanted to sing this song so much.  Inanimately I was thinking the title of the song more like a Girl name and perhaps a Spanish Girl Name.  After for sometime, after I learned some Spanish language, I did realized my mistake.  It is literally mean My World and I have successfully guess the meaning out.  The next thing I went to wikipedia and found out it is Italian language also have the same meaning i.e. my world. Whatever it takes, I am currently still in love with this song and need to continue learning my Italian language and Spanish language again.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Il Mondo" ('The World') is a song composed by Carlo Pes, Lilli Greco, Gianni Meccia and Jimmy Fontana, and performed by Jimmy Fontana. Arrangements were from Ennio Morricone.[1] The song premiered at the 1965 edition of Un disco per l'estate.[1]
The single peaked at first place for four weeks between July and October 1965 on the Italian hit parade.[2] It was the most successful song of Fontana.[2]

The song was adapted in English by Robert Mellin with the title "My World", and recorded by The Ray Charles Singers, The Bachelors and Engelbert Humperdinck.[3] A French version titled "Un monde fait pour nous" was recorded by Hervé Vilard and by Richard Anthony.[3] A Spanish version, titled "El Mundo" and performed from the same Fontana, peaked at first place in 1966 on the Spanish hit parade.[4]

The song was later covered by several artists including Gianni Morandi, Milva, Il Volo, Patrizio Buanne, Ornella Vanoni, Claudio Baglioni, Gianna Nannini, Al Bano,[3] Punkreas & Piotta.[5]

In 2011, Sergio Dalma included a version of the song on Via Dalma II, his second collection of Italian songs performed in Spanish. Issued as the first single from the disc, "El Mundo" rose to No. 10 on the official chart released by Productores de Música de España. [6] The song also achieved success in Latin America, particularly Argentina, thanks to its inclusion in the soap opera(telenovela) Dulce Amor.

"Il Mondo" was also used in several films, including Richard Curtis' About Time[7] and Philippe Le Guay's Bicycling with Molière.[8]

Song Lyric

Stay beside me, stay beside me,
Say you'll never leave me.
How I love, how I love you,
How I need you, please believe me.
In your arms I found my heaven,
And your lips have done their part.

Il Mondo
Your love is all I need in my world
Let tender kisses plead in my world
How could I ever live without you.

Il Mondo
My heart belongs to you so take it
And promise me you'll never break it
Say you'll stay here in my arms.

Stay beside me, stay beside me,
Say you'll never leave me.
How I love, how I love you,
How I need you, Please believe me.
In your arms I found my heaven,
And your lips have done their part.

Il Mondo
Your love is all I need in my world
Let tender kisses plead in my world
How could I ever live without you

Il Mondo
My heart belongs to you so take it
And promise me you'll never break it
Say you'll stay here in my arms.

Here in my arms

La...
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la...

Il Mondo...

Il Mondo...

Release Me

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Release Me" (sometimes rendered as "Release Me (And Let Me Love Again)"), is a popular song written by Eddie Miller, Robert Yount, and James Pebworth[1] under the pseudonym Dub Williams,[2][3] published in 1946 .

Miller wrote the song in 1946 but could not get anyone to record it for years, so he recorded it himself in 1949. Shortly afterward it was covered by Jimmy Heap, and with even better success by Ray Price and Kitty Wells. Subsequently a big seller was recorded by Little Esther Phillips, who reached number one on the R&B chart and number eight on the pop chart.[4] A version by Engelbert Humperdinck reached number one on the UK Singles Chart.[5]

The Engelbert Humperdinck song has the distinction in the UK of holding the number-one slot in the chart for six weeks during March and April 1967, and preventing The Beatles single, "Penny Lane" / "Strawberry Fields Forever", from reaching the top. "Release Me" was also the highest selling single of 1967 in the UK, recording over one million sales, and eventually became one of the best selling singles of all time with sales of 1.38 million copies.[6]
The story of how the song reached number one in the UK Singles Chart[7] is one of pure chance and being in the right place at the right time. In 1965, Humperdinck, who at the time was performing under the name of Gerry Dorsey, met up again with an old friend of his, Gordon Mills. By this time Mills was successfully managing Tom Jones. He took him onto his management roster and changed his name. He released a couple of near misses in the UK although one song "Dommage, Dommage" had been successful in Europe.[5]

Early in 1967, Humperdinck was asked to stand in for Dickie Valentine, who was ill, on the variety TV show Sunday Night at the London Palladium.[5] The show was one of the biggest rating shows in the UK at the time. He sang his latest song, "Release Me", an old US country hit, on the show and it reached number one in the UK Singles Chart on 2 March and stayed there for six weeks, keeping "Penny Lane"/"Strawberry Fields Forever" by The Beatles off the top of the charts in the process.[5] The record stayed in the charts for a record fifty-six consecutive weeks.[8]

The B-side, "Ten Guitars", became a surprise hit in New Zealand among young Maori moving to the cities for work, and not long after, the wider New Zealand music scene itself.[9] 'Ten Guitars' later served as the name for a documentary on New Zealand popular music.[10]

Release me , release my body.
I know it's wrong, So why am I with you now.
I say release me, Cause I'm not able to
convince myself
That I'm better off without you.

Yeah, it's perfectly clear
That love's not what you need
I tell you I don't care
But I don't want to
Anything that you say
I hear myself agree
And I don't recognize
What I've turned into,

I don't know why I want you so
'Cause I don't need the heart break
I don't know what addictive hold
You have on me I can't shake
No, I'm not in control
So let me go

Release me
Release my body
I know it's wrong
So why do I keep coming back
I say release me
'Cause I'm not able to
Convince myself
That I'm better off without you

I could sleep by myself
I would burn me alive
Find me somebody else
But I don't want to
Try to leave out the love
That goes against the grain
But I can rationalize it
If I have to

I don't know why I want you so
'Cause I don't need the heart break
I don't know what addictive hold
You have on me I can't shake
No, I'm not in control
So let me go

Release me
Release my body
I know it's wrong
So why do I keep coming back
I say release me
'Cause I'm not able to
Convince myself
That I'm better off without you..

I'm not in control
So let me go

Release me
Release my body
I know it's wrong
So why do I keep coming back
I say release me
'Cause I'm not able to
Convince myself
That I'm better off without you..

Release me
Release my body
I know it's wrong
So why do I keep coming back
I say release me
'Cause I'm not able to
Convince myself
That I'm better off without you..

The Last Waltz (Cover Version of Engelbert Humperdinck)

The Last Waltz ...

I wondered should I go or should I stay
The band had only one more song to play
And then I saw you out the corner of my eyes
A little girl alone and so shy
I had the last waltz with you
Two lonely people together
I fell in love with you
The last waltz should last forever

The Last Waltz (Cover Version of Engelbert Humperdinck)

The Last Waltz ...

I am singing this song again. The last waltz should last forever. In real life nothing is permanently stay forever. All existing things are impermanent and everything changes and when time to go, it will go on their own. So I must be dreaming if I stilling wishing the last waltz should last forever. LOL. If you do love her, tell her about it and it is up to her if she want to accept your love or not. LOL ...
